RYE Connect will be at Artic Frontiers Conference 2017

In the week 4 the RYE team will be at Artic Frontiers Conference in Tromsø, Norway. The Arctic Frontiers 2017 will discuss the gaps in our knowledge about the Arctic oceans and the role these will play in the future. These knowledge gaps deal with Artic ocean resources and the undeveloped and undiscovered regions of the Artic ocean that have so far been very poorly explored, especially due to the fact that the effects of global warming have been revealing new areas in the ocean that are now becoming accessible.
The conference will take place from Sunday 22nd to Friday 27th and will feature 85 speakers from many different countries from the Northern hemisphere. For full access to the schedule check out the conference program on the Artic Frontiers Website

On Tuesday 24th from 5:30 pm to 8:30pm at the Thon Hotel Polar RYE Connect will hold a worksop to students participating in the Arctic Students Forum programme in connection to Arctic Frontiers in Tromsø. The theme of the workshop will be sustainable development and the arctic dimensions. On the same day RYE will be delivering another charter to its newest associate partner, The Artic University of Norway (UiT). Welcome to our Associate Network, UiT.
